Central Arkansas Development Council is a private, non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life and to strengthen communities in Arkansas.

At CADC, low-income individuals and families are engaged in programs and services that improve their ability to become self-sufficient. CADC does this by promoting opportunities for empowerment, from Head Start and Senior Adult Centers to Community and Program Development.

Central Arkansas Development Council will start Family Development Credential (FDC) classes December 1. Developed by Cornell University, this series of classes will give front-line workers skills and tools necessary in helping today's families. Successful completion of the classes will give you seven college hours from Excelsior College. learn how CADC is building futures - click here Since its beginnings in 1965, CADC has been a local force on the War on Poverty in Arkansas. Our efforts center on giving voice to the persons who want to make a better world for themselves. We offer a hand-up, and every person, every family, every community counts. They are the ones who know best their assets, their resources, and their possibilities. We are the ones who give them voice. In 12 counties in Arkansas, more than 35,000 persons have joined CADC in innovative program activities. We are Arkansas' largest community action agency, offering a broad network of services, including Nutrition, Energy Assistance, Weatherization, Transportation, Community Development, Head Start, Senior Adult Centers, Micro-Enterprise Development and other Training Opportunities. We stay connected to the communities we serve, through a network of county-based and community based offices and through public forums. The road to success lies in us working together with the persons we serve. We share that mission with the thousands of Arkansas who envision a healthy future for themselves. At CADC, there are no boundaries for success.
